A Chic Stay at Shangri-La and Foodie Adventures in Toronto
Toronto welcomed us with open arms, promising a mix of urban vibes and culinary delights waiting to be explored. Join me as I recount my husband and I's elevating adventure through the city, filled with a luxury stay, casual exploration, and mouthwatering foodie finds.
A Chic Stay at Shangri-La Hotel
Our Toronto escapade kicked off with a touch of class as we checked into the iconic Shangri-La Hotel. Tucked right in the heart of the city, this spot was a haven of luxury and relaxation.
The rooms are elegantly designed, offering stunning views of the city skyline, plush bedding, and state-of-the-art amenities that ensure a restful stay. The hotel's amenities are equally impressive, including a world-class spa, a fully equipped fitness center, and an indoor pool that invites relaxation. Every detail at the Shangri-La Toronto is thoughtfully curated to provide an unforgettable experience.

Foodie Adventures Across toronto
Toronto's culinary scene had us drooling from the get-go, and we wasted no time diving in. We spent most of our time exploring on foot and quickly searched online for some of the best-recommended spots based on our mood. Here's what we discovered.
For lunch, we hit up the Amsterdam BrewHouse, where we tucked into tasty pub grub with a side of killer views of Lake Ontario – the perfect pitstop for refueling before more city exploration.
Come dinnertime, we found ourselves at Gurume SUSHI, stuffing our faces with some seriously good sushi that hit all the right spots. The dumplings were perfectly crafted, the crispy rice appetizer was deliciously crunchy, and the sushi rolls were flavorful.
And let's not forget about dessert! We couldn't resist the allure of Filipino ice cream from iHalo Krunch, indulging in flavors that transported us to a tropical paradise.
One of the most incredible dining spots was Terroni Adelaide, housed in an old bank building. Talk about dining with some serious history vibes! The Tonnarelli alla Norcina pasta featuring truffle shavings was rich and authentic, but the Smendozzata pizza, with its homemade spicy sausage, was the real standout.
For the grand finale, we made our way up to the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere – the CN Tower. This is a must-do in Toronto, and we were so glad to have elevated our experience by dining at its famous 360 Restaurant instead of only touring this landmark. The food was surprisingly good, and the skyline views were out of this world.
