5 Simple Ways to Live a Wellness Lifestyle

Setting aside time for self-care is an essential part of living a long and fulfilling life. It's so easy to deviate from practicing healthy habits when living in a fast-paced world. But I've come to realize that prioritizing wellness in my busy schedule is worthwhile.

In honor of National Wellness Month, I've compiled five simple ways to live a wellness lifestyle. These service and product recommendations have helped me maintain a healthy balance between my mind, body, and soul.

1. Drink vegetable and fruit juices

One of the easiest ways to maintain a healthy body and skin is to drink water and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. My go-to is a bottle of cold-pressed juice from The Juice Standard. They are excellent sources of minerals and vitamins and are surprisingly tasty! I've had my fair share of making a bitter juice at home, so I was shocked by how delicious the juices were. My new favorite flavor is Bee Cosmopolitan, which includes lemon, agave, and beets. Yum!

2. Have a spa day once a month

I recently indulged in a full-body aromatherapy massage at SahraSpa inside The Cosmopolitan. Embarking on this holistic journey relieved me from muscle tension and immediately put me in a relaxing state for the rest of the day, if not the whole week.

What I loved most about SahraSpa are its remarkable design and luxe amenities. Inspired by the desert's natural beauty, Sahra Spa offered me a peaceful oasis with its 420-ton sandstone quarried and soothing sounds of well water that echoed throughout the facility. With its stunning rain shower pool, steam room, sauna, and cool-mist room, this place officially became my favorite wellness retreat. I can't wait to spend another day here!

3. Meditate daily with essential oils

Dedicating a time to meditate daily was a daunting task at first. I had a terrible habit of thinking that I don't have enough hours in a day. But I quickly fell in love with meditation when I incorporated the Unplug Meditation app to my wellness routine. I've learned to master the art of deep breathing and helped me reduced my anxieties. This app offers a wide variety of guided videos led by experts. I love how the videos are broken up by its length, topics, and teachers.

To enhance my meditation experience, I also started using Sankaya essential oil and crystal blend, handcrafted locally in Las Vegas. I would add a few drops to my Unplug aromatherapy diffuser and voila! I've created my own little peaceful sanctuary.

4. Remember skincare is also self-care

If I'm unable to meditate or workout, I turn to my skincare regimen for a little "me" time. Just spending 10 minutes in my bathroom every morning and night has alleviated some of the day's stresses. Knowing that I'm nourishing my skin with all of the vitamins and minerals it needs makes me feel good inside and out. This practice is also the reason why I decided to get a Glutathione shot from REVIV IV Wellness Spa. Glutathione is an antioxidant that rejuvenates the skin and help prevents and reverse the effects of free radicals that contribute to aging and some diseases.

5. Keep a healthy sleep habit

For me, getting a good night's rest is the key to a living wellness lifestyle. Sleeping certainly has had the most positive impact on my mood, my work, and my overall well-being. I've recently read that lack of sleep can affect some aspects of brain function to a similar degree as alcohol intoxication. Yikes! So every night, I always shoot for 6-7 hours of sleep no matter what.
