Winter Wellness: How to Look and Feel Your Best
This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.
Ladies and gents, winter will be here before you know it! For some of us, that means cold weather, dry skin, and a suppressed immune system. I don't know about you, but I like to give my skin and body a little extra care during this time. The holiday craze and the temperature drop often takes a toll on me. So today, I'll be sharing my winter wellness arsenal along with some easy ways to look and feel your best in the next few months.
Drink Nutritious Herbal Tea
Maintaining a strong immune system can keep you healthy during winter, so drinking herbal tea is a must! Teas like BOS Organic Rooibos are an excellent choice as they are rich in antioxidants, electrolytes, essential minerals, and anti-aging benefits. They're great to drink during the day, but I prefer to drink a cup of BOS Tea at night since they are caffeine-free. It's rehydrating, detoxifying, and quite relaxing.
I also love the tin cups it comes in! It's vibrant, cute, and makes a great gift. (Use code BABBLE20 to get a discount.)
Lock in Moisture All Winter Long
One of the most crucial skincare products to have on hand this season is toner. It returns the skin's pH to normal after cleansing and locks in moisture. My favorite? Humphreys Soothe Witch Hazel + Rose and Grapefruit Toners. Both are alcohol-free and are very gentle to the skin. More importantly, they hydrate and soften my skin, reduce excess oil, and clear my complexion.
Fantastic products like these certified organic witch hazel toners provide an extra layer of hydration and allow active ingredients to penetrate deeper. Plus, I love that they're vegan, cruelty-free and dermatologist tested. And, of course, free of dyes, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and gluten.
Take Extra Good Care of Your Lips
As the weather gets drier, the thin skin on the lips dries out faster than the rest of the body. For me, that means chapped lips. The weather makes my lips look flaky and raw, which could get very uncomfortable. What's worse, it can trigger cold sores!
To prevent them before they even start, I use a super-powerful yet gentle lip balm, Herpecin L with SPF 30. This stuff works like magic! As someone who has suffered from cold sores from winter weather in the past, I'm glad I have this in the bag. I use it as a lip balm, lip sunscreen, and lip protector from cold sores and fever blisters. It pretty much has everything you could ever ask for in a lip balm!
Give Yourself an At-Home Salon Treatment
My lips aren't the only things that get dry in the winter. I often get cracked heels and brittle nails. The lack of moisture in the winter air causes my dry feet and nails. So I like to give myself a little pampering with an at-home pedicure and manicure.
I often start with Kerasal Intensive Foot Repair, and I was stunned by the results after using it for the first time. My heels instantly looked and felt smooth after only a day, especially when I covered my feet with socks overnight. And yes, you read that right one day. I couldn't believe my eyes! I'm thrilled I found this product.
My other favorite Kerasel product is the Multi-Purpose Nail Repair. It reduces discolorations, normalizes thickness, smooths, and hydrates my nails. It's also the #1 Dr. recommended nail repair, which I love. This product is excellent for Gel manicure damaged nails, so you bet I'll be keeping this product on hand!
I love the holiday spirit that winter brings, but not what it brings to my skin and body. With my winter wellness arsenal, I know I'll have a better chance of staying well all season long.
