Experience Venice, Italy From Dusk to Dawn: A Photo Tour

It’s quite difficult to leave Venice, Italy without taking hundreds of photos. There are many stunning landmarks, dozens of colorful structures, and numerous beautiful bridges around every corner. This city is spellbinding, and it can make a person want to come back again and again. It’s truly no surprise that Venice continues to be one of the most-visited places in the world!

Venice is also by far the most fascinating and romantic cities I’ve ever been to. And it’s why I’m very excited to take you on a little photo tour so that you can experience the city of water from dusk to dawn.

Venice is like a maze. It consists of narrow streets and unexpected dead-ends. Getting lost in the city is kind of a must when in Italy. It’s a chance to explore the colorful passages and discover wide open squares filled with churches, cafés, and shops.

Sights like Basilica di Santa Maria Della Salute will quickly take you back in history with its baroque architecture.

The Grand Canal is also spectacular sight to see. It acts as a river to help locals and tourists travel from one side to the other. The long and slim boats called gondolas can attract many tourists to hop on board as they cruise through the canal. These gondolas are very romantic and symbolic as they are a big part of the city’s history.

Saint Mark’s Clocktower at Piazza San Marco, Venice, Italy, 2018

Around noon, many travelers gather around one of the most famous plazas in the world, Piazza San Marco also known as St. Mark’s Square. This area is the heart of the city, where many landmarks reside: Saint Mark's Basilica, Campanile di San Marco (Basilica's bell tower), and Saint Mark’s Clocktower. Doge’s Palace is also not far from this place.

With its charm, rich history, and picturesque architecture, this city quickly became one of my favorite places to photograph - especially at night. It’s a lot quieter and more intimate. It’s also probably the best time to see the Bridge of Sighs and San Giorgio Maggiore.
