Life is Beautiful Festival x Bacardi Experience
Nothing beats a weekend filled with art, music, and style. I've been attending Life is Beautiful festival since 2016, and I always have an incredible time. But this year was particularly special. I was able to play with different festival outfits and learn about an extraordinary initiative that was put together by Bacardi and Lonely Whale.
Here are the highlights of my Life is Beautiful festival weekend!
The Lineup
Life is Beautiful's 2019 lineup was amazing! They featured performances by some of the top musicians in the industry: Billie Eilish, Tash Sultana, Whethan, Louis the Child, Oliver Heldens, ZEDD, and so much more. I had such an amazing time dancing and singing songs like "Better Not" by Louis the Child "It's true love, don't fake it. You better not, you better not." Ok, I'm done.
Everything was very organized and well-thought-out. It was easy to find entrances and exits, the VIP section was clean and beautiful, plus the event had a smooth traffic flow. The festival also featured stunning booths and activations from Lyft, Stella Artois, Jack in the Box, and so much more. They were so much fun to explore. Hello, photo ops!
I was so amazed by Lyft's booth that I ended up rushing to their flower wall for a quick picture, without realizing there was a wait. Oops! My girlfriends tried to warn me, but they ended up joining me.
BACARDÍ Art Motel
The BACARDI Art Motel offered several rooms with interactive art installations, transformative experiences, and a speakeasy with refreshing cocktails. My friends and I were immediately greeted by the most colorful concierge desk and a 20-feet luggage pile looming overhead.
What I loved most about this place was BACARDI's mission to inspire everyone to "Do What Moves You," a celebration of all things fueled by joy. They gave us a place to celebrate positivity and creativity inside their disco room, music room, and abstract jungle.
One particular room struck everyone's heart. The Lonely Whale room displayed a net filled with plastic bottles and containers to remind everyone about the impact of these materials have on our oceans. The space also highlighted BACARDI's efforts to turn recycled straws into vinyl records, as part of their efforts to make sure #TheFutureDoesntSuck. Their movement truly lifted me, so I decided to take the pledge to go plastic-straw free, and support their goal of eliminating one billion single-use plastic straws by 2020. To top it off, I even caught a surprise performance by Loud Luxury at the Bacardi Art Motel later that night!
Life is Beautiful was one of the best highlights of 2019. Thank you, Bacardi, for providing a fantastic and fun destination, where dreamers dream and creators create.
Get ready to run, not walk, to CJ Hendry’s latest art exhibition in Las Vegas. The space features a colossal 50-meter-long inflatable pool, colorful floral motifs, and hyperreal art.
